If you've been a stalker, you'd know that I am positive for Herpes, and my 1st outbreak is just ending.

I have one question- how exactly, when I decide to become sexually active, am I supposed to tell them? I don't want to say something like "So yeah, I have herpes. But I'll use a condom" How should I say it? I have no clue whatsoever on how to.

Thanks!

Once she's expressed interest, sit her down and explain. Tell her that you don't want to ruin her life, so you're going to tell her that you have herpes. Discuss what you can do to prevent it spreading.
Sorry you're stuck with this bullshit!

Hey patrick, cool your jets bro...he is right, according to the National Library of Medicine...

You are most likely to get herpes if you touch the skin of someone who has herpes sores, blisters, or a rash. However, the herpes virus can still be spread even when no sores or other symptoms are present. Sometimes, the person does not even know they are infected.

Uhm, The problem I am having is that he seriously said "So tell them or you'll ruin their lives!" Not only is that incredibly rude, but:

1) I never said I wasn't going to keep quiet
2)of all people posting in this thread, I would know the pain of herpes or how they can be spread more than anyone else just reading something on the internet.

P.S, that information says nothing about how the virus can spread through pubes ;)

First off:

No bashing in here. Lets stay positive, and help the OP. Anymore of this and I'll start handing out those warnings/infractions like candy! :)

Second off, pick the right setting. If you plan out where, when, and how you tell your partner, it should turn out OKAY. Read up on herpes, know the facts and the wives tails to soothe their wondering mind. You want to be able to give them answers since they'll most likely have questions. Find a comfortable place, not in a public area (Like a restaurant. Yeah, don't try that). Before hand, consider how the person is going to feel when he/she finds out. So don't freak on them if they freak on you.

You have to tell them you have herpes, because it can ruin their lives. I know you don't like knowing that, but truth is truth.

Good luck!!!!

It's the truth. Well if you think it that way, you're not gonna have second thoughts of not telling.

Again, I never said that I wasn't not planning on telling them. I just don't know how.

Anywayyyssss, I am dropping this pointless argument. It just kind of annoyed me on how you said that 1st comment. Sorry.

How old are you? If you're mature enough to be sexually active, you should be mature enough to figure something like this out for yourself. Don't do something you're not yet right for

herpes is treatable, isn't it?
I mean... all kinds of herpes I know is treatable.
so why not treat it first and then become sexually active?
sorry if I messed up something I just don't understand this

I didn't get it through sexual contact.........
I accidentally spread it from my mouth to my penis by myself, thank you.

You can't cure it, but unless I am mistaken, I am not contagious all of the time. That still doesn't mean I should say how.

I'm getting a little annoyed with not getting more answers and ideas, and instead getting all this B.S.
evil.angel and Ambrosia's answers work for me. Mods, feel free to lock this now.
