Cause in a way their like retainers? Also, what is the schedule for wearing a retainers? I heard that you have to wear them your whole life, but I know many people who don't wear them. Yet they have perfectly amazing teeth. :D

For those who don't know what Invisalign are here:

I had braces for a while, and eventually just stopped wearing my retainer after a while. I don't think you need to wear one for your entire life if you've had braces.

Depends really. On your treatment.

Like for my case, I'm missing two teeth on top, so they pushed all my teeth together. After I got my braces off, I had to wear the retainer all the time, but after a few months, I only had to wear it at night. Other people don't need to wear it forever, because of what the ortho. did to their teeth.

You gotta talk to your ortho about this man, as only he'd know. They'll probably tell you though when you get one.

I'm not sure about invisalign being used as a retainer though, as in some cases, teeth are still healing and shifting. Plus, it's probably wayyyy more expensive. You'll only need your retainer during the day for a little bit, it won't be the end of the world. You'll get used to them fairly fast.

I'm sure you can but I doubt that anyone would suggest it medically speaking. They do have clear retainers though, if that's the look your wanting, also you can use them as bleaching trays.

From the MEDICAL POV, I would suggest that you make an appointment with your orthodontist and take to him, you could even possibly get an answer by just calling the office and talking to a Hygienist....
