Why is my friend like this?

I don't know whether this is just due to hormones but my friend seems really not sexually aware if that's how you would put it. He seems to have no interest in anything sexual. Well he says he does but it doesn't seem like he quite gets it. He has had "girlfriends" and he has kissed them and stuff but he has never really made any moves to do sexy stuff with them. He isn't really curious about anything, he showers in public at school which many people don't like doing. He has no interest in porn or anything and he tells me that he's never felt the need to masturbate. When we get changed in the locker rooms he just does it completely carefree, ie. he talks to people naked whereas most other people would be doing it a bit faster to get it over the uncomfortable situation. But it's not like he's proud of himself. He hasn't got a good body or anything. Sometimes we have talked about sex and stuff but it sounds like he doesn't really know what he's talking about. He's quite small and has a slightly high pitched voice, but I know I can't use that to judge him, he just seems completely unaware sexually. Why might this be.
I'm 13 he's 14 by the way.

He may be a bit asexual. Which means that he isn't turned on by anything. In his case, it seems like he has a little attraction since he kisses girls. Since he's still young, that phase could leave some time around when he's older. It's normal for it to happen but you just don't hear many people with this problem. Hope this helped.

Maybe he just inst too big on the whole sexual need. Not that he doesnt get turned on occasionally. Give him some time to mature still, hes only 14. He may just be a good guy who wont try to get into everyones pants.
