It could be sweat, but that general area doesn't tend to smell so great regardless. A lot of sweat and other juices collect there.

For me it smells once in a while but it's not too strong for someone to catch on from being close to me.

Yeah it's one of the sweatiest areas of the body and the body always rubs together there in any case. So there tends to be some residual smell. This can be temporarily taken care of by showering with soap or body wash but the smell usually comes back eventually. It's normal though.

For me, it's a mix of sweat and a little bit of jizz, even if it's just sweat.
