So... "Heavy metal" could either mean traditional heavy metal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traditional_heavy_metal) as a subgenre or the metal genre (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_metal_genres) as a whole, right?
If the OP was having the former in mind when he made the thread, you're right, death metal and traditional heavy metal have very little in common. Plus, simply having a metal option would have been enough, since we don't have a separate techno or hardstyle option, either, but simply an electronic music option.
Otherwise, it makes even less sense, since saying that you like death metal and metal is like saying you like rock and indie rock.
Either way, this poll's options don't make much sense. :rolleyes:
