Do male teens have a point in puberty where muscle growth is the most rapid? Or do you have to do physical activities for muscle growth? I don't want to sound like I just want to sit back and let muscles grow, but this is just a curious question I have.

You have to actually do something. Muscles dont just grow, unfortunately.

Sorry man, but you're gonna have to be doing some sort of physical activity to see some muscle growth. There might be certain stages where your body retains more fat or your metabolism is on hyper drive, but you have to actually work your body in order for muscular tissue to form.

Nope, you need to do something to make them larger.
Lifting weights and taking protein is a great option that's what I did for two months.
Playing sports is another excellent choice, that's going to focus more on cardio and not muscle size though. Don't know what your going for but those are going to be your two best options.

You're not exactly right, and I think you need to start to begin to think about what you say before you say it.
Most of the people above me said that muscle mass does not really increase during puberty, which is false. Muscle mass increases during Tanner stages one and five, which are the very beginning and towards the end of puberty. Although your muscle mass is increasing, that doesn't mean that you will be defined and look so much more muscular. If you want to go for that look you'll have to do some kind of exercise/physical activity. I wouldn't recommend too much weight lifting at such a young age, it isn't so great for your growth and development.

I trained Taekwondo for - well - seven years or so now and achieved the black belt about a year ago. It did wonders for my muscles and body, so perhaps setting yourself a goal (Not necessarily the black belt) and then just get working. Muscles will usually have an easier time growing during the puberty, so make the best of it!
