So I'm entering weight lifting class next year  and I was wondering what the average weight I should be able to lift for dumbbells and barbells? I'm going to be 17 by next school year.

300 pounds.

I dunno, it's all p to you. I wouldn't think there'll be too many restrictions I guess. The most important thing should be progress. Keep working to your maximum potential now and keep going right through.

Everyone is different. You start off at certain weights for certain exercises and move up.
It can be in proportion to your age and size, but generally there is no "certain weight".
Just start small and build up.
And learn how to use Google, it can answer most of your questions more thoroughly.

Really doesn't matter. The only thing is that you feel that you can lift it, and that you feel like you are getting something out of it..
