So I've been really busy lately and I've been wondering, can you do be group of muscles say at 3 pm, then another group at 7 pm the same day?

Yes, you just have to make sure you properly warm up and warm down before and after each workout, otherwise you will be crazy soar and at a higher risk of injury.

Remember it takes time to warm up before your muscles perform at their peak, so time-wise, I would expect it to be more effective if you did it all at once without breaks of more than 30 seconds in between. It'll still work I guess. Make sure you warm up and stretch properly before and after every exercise or you risk more injury..

whatever u gonna do at 3pm u will tend to use most of ur glycogen working that specific spot, so by 7pm ur not gonna have everything replenished and will perfom less then expected. most ppl do their split at the morning and then at night, and remember that ur body doesnt get stronger from lifting, it gets stronger when ur resting after. if u are gonna lift at times so close together u might as well just get them both done with at the same time so ur body can begin to rebuild itself
