Is Porn Wrong?

i go to porn sites every once in a while. at first i thought it was gross and wierd, but i kept going back because i was curious. then i started masterbating to porn. i had a friend that did so i didnt think it was that strange. then i met this guy who is obsessed with porn and he is into every kind and every fetish and he's always talking about sex and porn and he's the hugest pervert. he said its not his fault because he had a perverted friend that got him into that kinda stuff. of course, he coulda stopped himself. and everyone knows he's a pervert and they think he only wants sex so no one will date him. so i'm worried that i could end up like him. should i limit the amout of time i spend watching porn? i mean, i can only watch so much porn before i start feeling dirty but i dont want to start wanting it more because i watch it much more than the first time i saw it.

Porn isn't neccessarily bad, but there's different opinions.

Personally, I think it's fine if 1) it's good quality :P 2) you aren't in any chats and 3) not signing up with any memberships.

There's many people worried that they're addicted or may become addicted to porn. Don't worry about that tho, as long as you have a life outside of porn, you aren't gonna be talking about sex or porn that much!

Just keep playing sports, watching TV, staying active, getting ok grades, and having a good social life. Those things are a sure-fire way to prevent you from getting any sort of addiction! :D

heh...As long as you make the distinction between porn and real life, you'll be fine. Although I haven't had sex before, most people in this forum say that porn is much different that sex in real life. Just make sure you don't associate internet porn with real life sex!!!

The problem that we have is that in your first post, you told us about the bad things that he does. (talks about sex, acts like a pervert, thinks about porn and fetishes, etc.) Now you have to tell us the good things about this guy. How could we possibly make a good judgment of him if we don't have the info??? You have to weigh the differences between his good and bad habits. In the end, only you know about this person better than we do, and only you can make the decision whether he's a nice guy or not.

But what I can say is that any guy who even considers sex at a premature time is most likely someone that's too eager to get inside you. In a relationship, things should be taken one step at a time.

well, porn is illegal, but thats just an assurance to those dumb activist parents... porn in no way is gonna make you a rapist, and it does not contribute to the growth of raping, since people that have mental problems are normally the ones who rape, and its not like the porn caused the mental illness... Actually, yeah. I mean, the fetish comes before the porn site...if there weren't gay people, we wouldn't have gay porn! Some guys probably got off on this and decided there should be a site for it, so they created it.

Yeah, it is. If you believe in evolution, it would probably be natural to see sex happening in the caves or where ever we decided to sleep.
It's strange to view porn for the first time, but most just keep coming back...

For the text I bolded, I say no. Porn isn't exactly perverted - different types serve different tastes. Some may see obscene even to the porn world, but porn is accepted in some way in our society, so it's not exactly being a pervert...in my mind, you're only a prevert if you're obsessed with something that's unreal. tho I have some other opinions on that too, I don't want to talk too much ;-)

I don't know bout it being 'wrong', that sounds like a morality question. But, I think you have to remember that porn is like cartoons, it's not really real (well, it is, but it's not, too), it's entertainment. Real sex kinda looks like porn, the pieces fit the same way, but all the noises and all the enthuasiasm and the sizes and the gymanstics are a little over the top. So, if you look at porn try to remember that it might not be that way when you're with another person and having your own sex.
