Which do you like better? Any logical reason why?

I have a Mac with an Intel, and an HP with AMD, and the AMD runs slightly faster than the Intel chip.

Intel ?

Both computers I've had have been Intel. One was a dual core and this one is a 2nd gen i7

It all depends on budget if you ask me.

I've used the i386 platform for almost all my life, so why bother changing? It isn't 2038 yet :P

I run a Pentium 4 at 2.9GHz, by the way.

That is true- AMD processors generate a lot of heat

It's the only type I've used :)

I prefer Intel. No problems for me with Intel.
We use AMD Athlon x64 processors at school with a 3.2GHz clock speed and 3GB of ram, yet they are still incredibly slow. You know when you drag a picture in MS Word 2007? That lags out for us, it takes about 6 seconds for it to move and be placed.

Amd are nothing but trouble thay have stupid heating issues try running a crossfire with those amd poopchips.Intel are good I7 with 4 cores beats 8 core amd i dunno what that says lol.

Really depends, I like AMD since they have the best bang for your buck, however Intel's chips, although more expensive out-perform AMD. It just depends on your budget really, if you can afford it, I'd go Intel, but if you want the best performance on a budget, go AMD.

AMD is really the standard for a lot of devices, especially mobile devices, and Intel is mainly just computers and stuff like that, so AMD for me.

Intel have always been reliable, therefore I have no reason to go AMD.

I use AMD Turion X2 on my laptop and Intel Pentium 4 on my desktop.

I think both are great for what I use them for (I dont play games or anything)...

If I am honest, I don't notice any difference between the two

It depends on which specific chip you are comparing, not the company that produces them.
