Why do people think I am gay because I like Disney?

Like the title says. Today at work someone asked if I was gay or straight and I told them that i was straight. The she kept insisting like most guys don't like Dinsey as much as me. She kept going on all evening. I just don't get it.

Well unless you want to change your appearance and the things you like, so basically everything about you which to be honest I dont really think is worth it.
Just tell them firmly once and then just ignored them, you don't have to explain your sexuality to anyone and as you get older things will change anyway so you may start to gcome more masculine or lose whatever is making people think you're gay.
Liking Disney, I mean cartoons in general aren't really meant for over a certain age I guess, not that I have anything against them I just think they're for little kids. I know lots of people who like Disney though and it's nothing to be ashamed of, like I said wait a while and you might start to grow out of them.

lol this reminded me of a thing Disney said, not sure about the direct quote but it goes like "These cartoons are not made for children, but for the children inside of us all." But people generally think watching Disney cartoons is childish, I personally love em. But people say "You're gay" for things as simple as wearing pink. Don't sweat it. :D

Tell them that you're not, and if they don't believe you, then don't really sweat it. There's nothing wrong with being gay. If you want to change certain stuff about yourself to keep people from thinking it, then you can, but that'll probably just make you unhappy.

Don't worry about them man. I'm straight, and I like Disney too. I grew up watching it. There's a guy in a couple of my classes who knows just about everything there is to know about Disney, and as far as I know, he's straight too.

Well, Disney has changed throughout the years and the shows that are programmed. The majority of the shows now aren't cartoons anymore and the new shows that have came out in our generation are disliked by some people because it's not the old Disney anymore and they think that the shows are too corny and stupid to watch. Same with the actors. I hear people talk so much crap about Selena Gomez and most of the time is because she simply comes from our generation of Disney. You're not gay or anything negative for watching it. Don't listen to her. It's your taste.
