Maths Help?

Need this in the next four hours please, left it til last minute. D:

Im stuck on this question. I done

x + 8 + 5 = 113
x = 113 - 8 - 5
x = 100
Which isnt right obviously.

Can anyone help explain what Im to do for the equation?

Perimeter of a rectangle equals all of the sides added together. If you do that then you probelm could be laid out like: "2(X+8) + 10 = 113 cm". Which equals "2X + 16 + 10 = 113cm". If that is correct your next step would be 2X = 87, then X = ____. I think that is right but I'm not positive. I really hope this helps you!

2(x+8) + 10 = 113
2x + 16 +10 = 113
2x + 26 = 113

2x + 26 = 113
- 26 (from both sides)
------------------
2x = 87
--------
2 (divide both sides by 2)

x=42.5
