This isn't really a problem, I'm just kind of interested about this.

If you dont want to waste your time reading those then just go down to the questions please.

So I have ankyloglossia (Tongue Tied) which is where your tongue is attatched to the bottom of your mouth in a way, making your tongue shorter and can cause speech disabilities in a way. I dont have anything wrong with my speech, but my tongue is short. I have talked with my dad about getting it fixed and he said thats alright, so I've been thinking about getting it done.

The only problem is that I make out with my girlfriend each day, not exactly a problem, but we french kiss, and I heard that when you get it fixed, it takes time to heal. And I heard that you might not be able to control your tongue as well, and idk stuff like that. I want to get my tongue fixed, but I don't want it to possibly be a problem with kissing my girlfriend. I know, I shouldnt be worried about this, im just spoiled or whatever you wanna call it haha. I'm more of interested in these questions

How long does it take to heal?
And what could go wrong if i had it done? (not during the procedure, but after it is healed.

I'm so sorry that this is stupid and if I wasted your time, but I just want to know this stuff. Mostly from someone who might have had it done? I've looked online, but I mostly just find stuff about babies, because thats usually when it gets done.

Well for starters, you aren't gonna be to french kiss your girlfriend at least for a few days...the tongue is one of the faster healing organs in your body (the cornea in the eye being the fastest) so you shouldn't have to worry about that for too long. I can't seem to think of any serious complications that could happen, but it will definitely be different for you when you talk/use your tongue. Keep practicing and it will eventually work.
