Um, I will get disagreed with over this but mine is: "having a positive connection with a living being."

Wellll... when I fall in love with somebody I get fiercely protective, I worry about her constantly, I always need to know how she is and if she is ok... and what I can do for her... but I've never had a gf so after that I don't know.

Only you can be the judge of that. You are the only person who can tell if
you really love that person, because it may seem that you love them, and
you really don’t, or vice verca. Love is different for everyone. One of
my best friends describes it as “that feeling you used to get when you
were little and your mom or dad gave you a hug.” I do not believe that
love can be described like that for me.

Only you can decide. But for me I consider it to be when you are willing to go to any lengths to make that person happy, even if that means not being with them.

I know i have to define it for myself....I just wanted to know other definitions...just in case...plus...i want to know if like, people are COMPLETELY different than me, as for me, I define it as, wanting that person to be happy no matter what. And to Care unconditionally about them, for their flaws, for their perfections, inspite of their flaws, and inspite of their perfections...Well, I feel like this for a certain guy, who is straight...And i want to be his friend, the friend he can tell EVERYTHING too...he's shut THAT down...he treats me pretty bad, (yes he knows i like him, not that i think i love him) however, he doesn't think he is treating me badly...It hurts, but I just want him happy...i've even pretended to be straight, talking about girls, and stuff HE likes, that i pretty much hate....all for him...I don't think he sees it....

It's different for every person, some people view it in one manner while the other may view it entirely different.
My definition of love would be enjoying the person you truly mean "I Love you" to for the remainder of your life and will not get bored. Other than that I don't think it needs to be tossed around unless your being sarcastic and humorous with friends.

love is... (oh, it reminds of those chewing gums)
well for me it's respect, kindness, passion, taking care, be responsible.
if I love a person I will do lots of thing for him/her. letting go on is always hard but sometimes is for the best so I also believe in love when you're happy if the person you love is happy with or without you.

An inseparable bond between two persons
this and more...you can describe love in words like other emotions it is something that varies between people and even for centuries the word love in a text is rare and the feeling has been implied

It's not about infinite caring.
It's accepting that person for who they are, making you not two seperate people, but 1 entity that you accept and embrace. Not to make them a better person, but accepting their flaws and still bieng able to say that person's perfect.
