Ok, so my mom just noticed i have hair on my upper lip and its not noticeable and usually those who do notice it will just say "Yeah you should wait for that to grow a little more" or something close to that, while my mom says i 'need' to get it shaved. It won't work to tell my mom i want to wait to shave it becuase she doesn't listen to me about these things. Any tips to avoid shaving for a little and tips on shaving for the first time? I have no clue about how to shave other than that i need shaving cream and a razor.

well dont press down hard coz you csn cut yourself. othere than that its pretty easy just make your shaving area a bit wet apply shaving foam and shave, easy.

Just tell her you don't want to shave. If you shave it will grow back faster and thicker. It is also possible to shave without cream. I do it for my upper lip. If you don't want to cut yourself use a 2 blade razor and go slow your first few times. Hope this helps! :D

People may notice and it'll make you look further in puberty.. I'd just start if I were you.
Get a razor, shaving cream and a sink of water. Make sure your skin is moist and apply the foam then shave 'with the grain' ie with the hair (usually down) so you won't cut yourself.

Its your body, if you don't then don't but use alot of shaving cream and do not rush or else you will end up with cuts, take you time and use the razer like matt25 described it.

Agreed with Stronger, its your body, and your choice.
As for shaving. Use a cream or gel, wet the razor and go slow. Start at the top of the lip and pull down.

That is not wrong. I never shaved my upper lip. Once I did I had to shave it more and more. Now I shave atleast 2 times a week.

That's because your hair is just maturing. It's scientifically proven that shaving doesn't affect anything. Do your homework before you start spreading false information.

He isn't wrong, it does grow back thicker due to shaving as well.

I would shave it, because I think it looks better to be clean shaven and people can take the piss

Dude ask support in your Dad or Uncle, they can convince your mom.

It FEELS like it's thicker, because when they're growing, they have to go through skin - Just make photo of yourself before shaving and when hair's are about 1 cm long (0.4 inch). They will be same as before ;)

I shave off my upper lip about once a month. Never used cream, I just don't press very hard.

For your lip, it easier to use an electric trimmer but they're expensive! I just wet shave everything though.
