Alot of people think I'm a lesbian/bisexual Because I'm really Tom boyish and hardly talk about boys, I don't have a problem with it but sometimes it gets out of hand when people keep saying I'm in denial and should come out of the closet. What do I do? Do I just say I am to get people off my back or do I just let them talk? HELP PLEASE (btw I'm not)

If you aren't then who cares what people say?You are what you are, nothing more, nothing less.

As much as it sucks to have people pressuring you to come out, it's better to tell the truth than to live a lie in my opinion. If you say one thing now and another thing later it will really confuse both yourself and others. Particularly if there is someone you like. But it's your choice. It may temporarily solve the problem, but i don't recommend it. And like matty says, you are who you are. The ones who mind don't matter and the ones who matter don't mind.

Hey Stephanie,
I have the exact same problem you do- everyone thinks I'm gay. I'm not.
It's because of what I like and the things I do. I'm a fashion obsessed, sport hating, straight man. Go figure, eh?
Anyway, I've posted a lot about it in my blog (you can find the link in my signature) and I think reading what I've written would sincerely help. I know that I found comfort in finding other people who faced a similar problem.
I've been dealing with this for quite some time and I've tried a few different approaches to coping. I've...
- Tried conforming and following the status quo. This didn't last too long, I felt like I was being crushed under a lie. People quickly stopped believing I was gay, or at least saying things, but I just couldn't stand it.
- Tried ignoring it. Didn't work at all. Bit away at me not being able to walk around doing anything, saying anything, without a comment from someone.
- Tried fighting it. NOOOOOO. Makes everything 10x worse. Just like blowing on a fire.
- Tried poking fun at myself. This. Works. Incredibly. It shows others that you're comfortable enough with yourself that you don't give a crap what they think and that you are your own person.
If you want to talk, feel free to message me.
Good luck and best wishes.

Who cares what they think! Just be yourself, that is what matters, not the opinions of others.

Just don't care about what people say to you. All those people want out of you is a reaction, so if you don't give them one they won't have a reason to harass you because they'll feel like they're just wasting their time. As long as you know you're not lesbian then you shouldn't care if other people say you are because they clearly don't know what they're talking about.

and the the more you contest it the more they think that they're right
