Okay, I went to the doctor and my dad came with me. I'm 15. The doc asked if I wanted my dad to stay. The doctor is a guy. I was like sure. Doc asked me to strip up to my bra and under wear and I was like okay and I did. She did the usual- blood pressure, blood test etc. Then she took me and my dad to this room. He asked me to take off my bra. It was so embarrassing because my dad was there. He poked my boob around until it was good for the machine to do a breast exam. Then it was over we went back to the room. Doc wouldn't let me put my bra back on though. He made me take off my underwear and he poked around my vagina. My dad was looking at me strange by then, he hasn't seen me naked since I started wearing a bra. Then finally, I got my results for the check-up. I was healthy. Then I put on my clothes. That happens once a year at my check ups.

usually my mom takes me to the doctor but sometimes if I'm at my dad's he will.

Yes have had my dad in the room.He sits behind the table so I don't see him unless I look in back. If you have a good relationship why not.

For a quick check up just my top I push my bra down so I can just pull it up after he finishes that part. Full exam everything off.Know when he is going to do the full when the foot things are out on the table.

1. Was I too old? Too old for your dad to see you? No, I don't think so. He's your dad. He's seen you grow up, but he still cares about you. If he was looking at you funny he was probably worried that you were uncomfortable, and it was probably just as awkward for him...

2. Would you have let your dad stay if you're 15 like me? I'm a little older than you, but I was in the hospital just about a week ago, and my dad is a doctor so he actually came and saw me. But even at my physicals, I'm okay with my dad being there.

3. Do you have to take off your bra and underwear? At doctor exams, yes. (btw my dad doesn't do those)

4. Does your doctor poke around with your privates? Yes. This is normal. Just wait until you get older - it's only worse.

i h8 going to the Doctors. Last time I went I had to go on my own and He told me he was just gonna mesure my heart rate. But then he made me take my bra off???? Dont think that was neceserry but oh well. I dont like male doctors

Last time I went to the doctors, I went to get bc and there was a guy med student. I didn't want to say "no" because if everybody did then he definately wouldn't learn... but it was embarassing...

They do not check your butt as a teen unless you have a problem.
When you get older they do it as part of the gyn part.

By the way if you're uncomfortable with anything your doctor does, you can refuse . You dont have to do anything. But if theres actually a problem, you shouldnt.

No I don't think so. I'm pretty sure it's just called a rectal exam, but like it was said above, it's not needed unless there are problems.

I don't think parents have to come in. I was nervous and she came for support. It wouldn't bother me I guess, but next time, I'll do it alone.
