Should I take him back?

A few months ago my (ex)friend, kyle, was talking alot of smack behind my back. I heard about this through my best friend ryan, whom kyle was talking the smack too. Recently (in the last week or 2) I've been missing having him as a friend. Should I try and mend the friendship or no? we haven't talked a word to eachother since i figured out, and he tried black mailing me. I don't know what it is about him, but I think he deserves a second chance. I'm not even 100% positive that he was talking shit behind my back either. ryan never really liked him, but i trusted ryan so i went with it. sorry for rambling. I just want your guys' opinions. thanks in advance.

Honesty, do you really know that he said that stuff, sounds like a bunch of he said she said stuff. I think you should try and talk things out and repair the friendship, if you feel that you should give him a second chance then go for it, but if he does it again, then you know it wasn't ment to be.

Just do what you feel is right. Don't care about what others think, if you want to mend things with him then by all means go for it. Like you say you don't actually know he said those things, Ryan could have been jealous and blown it way out of proportion. If you want to be friends with him and trust him then grab the second chance and make up, if not then just leave it there, it seems like you have other friends that are there for you as well.

This sounds like me and my friends in middle school. You need to just talk to him in person, ask him why he said the things he said, and let it continue from there. Dont text him or call him, make sure you do it in person. He might miss being friends with you too. Just go with your gut and if you really want him back as a friend then talk to him about it.

Think of the things that will happen if you don't have him as a friend and the things that will happen that won't happen if you don't have him as a friend. That should give you an easier time to decide.
