Gay and lesbian couples can now be registered as married in Queensland, but still can't get married here yet. What are your thoughts on this?

Woo! That's awesome. I have been seeing news lately about same sex marriage becoming legalized and it seems that society is finally starting to accept us and give us the equal rights we deserve. But the fight is not over yet. We still have an entire country to go and some other countries to persuade.

It's the first steps. At least it's progress.

Do you have a source? Usually you'd post a news article with a confirmation of that.

I think it's a good thing. All of Australia should recognize gay/lesbian/bi couples if they are married and all of Australia should let gay/lesbian/bi couples get married.. the whole world should should let gays/lesbians and bisexuals marry. But, I doubt it will happen, and if it does.. I think things will get violent. Look at some countries in Europe.. they stone and stab gay/les/bi paraders during gay pride parades and stuff... It's crazy and I doubt it will ever stop... Damn Homophobics. But, it's a good step for QLD and Australia!
