View Full Version : Switching Schools

I did it last year. I'm thinking about doing it again. Wherever I go. No matter where I am. What I'm doing. I just can't seem to be happy. I was miserable at my old school, and I feel even worse at my new one. Is because of me? All my baggage I carry? Is it the school, not being the right for me. And if so.
How will I know which is the right one. I would switch schools, be happy. Next month. I want out. I can't continue on like this for the rest of my high school life. Sure, it's nice to have a 'fresh start' but is really fresh if you still have that vivid memory of your past schools?
Ugh. I'm so confused.
People both want me to switch, and stay. But I can't seem to make up my mind.
I don't want to do this by chance, by flipping a coin, or some childish game like that.
I just want to know..

Casey you have to do whats right fot you, it doesn't matter about what others want at the moment. It sounds to me like moving schools might be a good idea, it will take you away from the dread of having to leave in the morning and give you a chance to maybe be happy. The girl that stalks you seems like a very big problem in your life, she makes everything mroe painful than it needs to be and you dont deserve that. I know you said about how a fresh start wont do much but a new enviroment can change an awful lot. I switched schools and i admit it was when i was quite a but younger but it did help me. It changed me to be someone who wasnt afraid of walking around school and going into the playground because of these 2 girls that picked on her everyday (however moving up to secondry a lot of that changed again). This is about you though, you dont have to be scared and i know memories are still lurking but dont let them hold you back. Be who you want to be and if you changed schools, you could be anyone!
Look up schools you can go to around the area. Find out about the courses and what would be right for you. I know this is only my opinion but i honestly think that changing schools can make a massive difference to someones life if they want it to.
I believe that you can be happy, not having to look over your sholder 24/7, having good friends that look out for you and you should as well. But like i said, it's your choice, weigh up the pro's and con's of both. Think of every aspect and chose if it's worth moving. It's your life and you are the one that is going to have to live with your decisions so dont take them lightly and dont let others influence you to much. <333

If I were to change schools, I would have to go to a smart person school. My home schools, at both of them people want me dead.
My friend Kaara and I were talking about it on the bus, coming home. She sounded very supportive, which is odd, since she's the one that won't leave me alone.
She said she would miss me, and blahblahblah..
I talked to a teacher I trusted earlier today, and she said that if I were to leave, that the school would miss me. I kinda felt happy, like I had a meaning, but then I felt pressured into staying.
I REALLY want to go, but I REALLY want to stay. I tried the pros and cons you suggested, and really, They are the exact same. 12 or so cons for both, and 9 pros for both. But I am just really confused.
I want to try home schooling, but mom is a single parent, and it's not like she can take time off of work to teach me at home when she doesn't understand the work i'm doing..

Yeah, home schooling isn't really an option enless your parents are a teacher or actually know what they need to teach you. Could you think about a tutor maybe?
But part of being at school is about socalising, making friends, learning life skills you could use later on. Honestly i think you need to try and come to a decision about whether it's worth it. If you're between the two and dont know then is it really worth moving and having to change so much?
Dont listen to this kaara, she sounds very two faced and im not sure you want to take advice from here seeing what she does to you. The fact that the teacher said it would be a shame if you went is true. But dodn't feel presured into staying, it's your life, your decision and i think you just need to think about what is right for you and what will benefit you most, im sure everyone will be behind you and support you whatever you decide but they arnt the ones that have to live through it all.

Ok so is there any way you could have a tutor that you could actually go to for school? Like everyday? I think you can get that.

If only switching schools weren't a pain, I'd do it right about now. The people at my school are basically all druggies.
