Pretty much daily, I rant to my best friend London about my anger about my dad. Recently, he's getting tired of this, so I thought I should take my anger to the interwebz. : )
My father is really really cheap. I used to not notoce this, but it's getting really evident. He doesn't like the fact that I... Eat food. Food costs money, and he doesn't like to spend money! The funny thing is that he's always talking about how cheap my uncle is. Double standard much?
From my Mom (Dad's ex wife), I've learned that his incredibly Italian grandmother was very strict with her SEVEN kids. Food was scarce, and they couldn't just get a snack or whatever anytime they were hungry. She's still like this, so going to her house when there's more than like 3 guests is hell!
My dad just got out of a relationship, the corcumstances being somewhat bizarre. He got left at the altar! I feel bad for him, and hos ex fiance's "expensive tastes" are probably why my Dad is so frugal.
