The discontented people, mostly youth, are always the ones to cause social change: we saw it in the suffragettes, the world wars and vietnam, the Korean war, the fall of the berlin wall, the punk movement, and more recently, gay rights.
It's a very good thing: Without social change the sex pistols wouldn't be famous :D I love me some punk music

That's contingent on the change. Obviously as pointed earlier the suffragettes and gay rights movement is something progressive and socially beneficial. However, the 1979 Iranian Revolution was also an example of social change, and boy does it suck. Iran is now one of the most ridiculously misogynistic countries in the world.

Title is slightly off topic but if you forward to 2:40 he starts to talk about Iran after Khomeini's revolution.
