I'll be going on a plane for the first time in April, and I'm scared out of my mind.

Could I get some reasurrance or experiences from anyone so I'll know what to expect?

Its fun!! FIrst class is the best. but coach is fun too.. Coach: u get refreshments.. pillows if ask.. sorta tight space.. sit in an aisle seat so u wont see out of the window. First class: Spacious.. food... great...

Ohh and your ears will probaly "pop".. It helps if you chew gum

You'll be fine. Bring gum, an iPod, and sit on the window seat so you can see stuff as you get bored. Try and start a conversation with the person next to you to kill time, that's usually what I do.

Flying isn't bad, trust me, however, there is a few things. Your ears will pop. When that happens, I suggest that you hold your nose (close the end of your nostrils) and blow out of your nose. As stupid as I (and this paragraph) seem, it works, better than gum or sucking, also.

If you feel up to it, try and get a window seat, but remember that it's normal (depending on the aircraft) if the wing appears to shake/move (wingflex). If you don't like heights or think it might be weird, definitley get an aisle seat.

Also, it's important so definitley pay attention to everything that is said, by the pilot, flight attendants and especially the inflight safety briefing.

You'll be fine, just consider what I (and the others) have told you. Don't stress, once you're in your seat, sit back and relax.

When i went on a plane for the first time when I was 7, I was screaming so loud because the wings were flexing heavily on landing through a massive storm.

Its best flying at night as you don't get overwhelmed at the height your flying at, if your nervous just close your eyes, pull the window blind down or get an isle seat that will help definitely.

It's fun, trust me! When you first see the plane, you crap yourself a little, and once you're on the plane you're a little nervous, but once the engines roar and you're going down that runway you will love it, and look at the window to.. its great!

I love flying, don't be scared at all, just bring stuff to keep your mind off the fact you are flying and bring gum, because that will help you from having your ears pop

I am flying planes all the time and you have nothing to worry about! theres a better chance you will be struck by lightning than in a plane accident...! Some things you should know so you don't get scared! :
When the plane takes off, everything usually shakes and what not but thats completely normal.
Right afterward you hear a loud sound coming from underneath you, this is just the landing gear going back up into the plane (you also hear this right before you land) both completely normal.
If the plane makes a sharp climb or turn your stomach may feel a little funny, but that is also normal and happens to everyone.
The thing they say in that movie about a plane never being damaged by turbulence is completely true, the most you have to worry about is a bag falling on your head or spilling your drink

you will be fine!! :)

Nothing to worry about. Its just loud. And when you're up it's like car travel but you're in the air. lol I've ridden an airplane 32 times ! To and back.
