ok so im a christain and am struggling with porn and masterbation...i know its a sin thats why im trying to stop...but i just dont know what to do anymore? ANY suggestions?

Just keep your mind on other things. Find stuff to do like hobbies or school. Just have to keep your mind busy. Good Luck

I wouldn't talk to your dad but when you get the urge to do either or, go do something else, distract your mind, that should help you forget.

Whenever I have the urge to masturbate (I'm trying to stop too) I will go eat something:eek:, it usually takes my mind off it (stay healthy though eat veggies :D)

well being a christian, you must have good faith. you can ask God to help you in this and like they said, keep your mind occupied. Call someone when you get the urge to keep you busy, go work out, active things work well so that your mind is more occupied.

couldnt talk to my dad even if i wanted to hes hardley ever around and when he is hes usually with his girlfriend...i swear its like i dont even exsist to him :/...

Well, you're definitely not alone. I'm addicted to porn and masturbation too. Ok, honestly I've given up trying to stop so I'm not the best to give advice... but like other people have said, I think you have to concentrate on other things or, even better, concentrate on God instead of the problem. I've had times when I was still trying, when it really helped to just talk to God whenever I had the urge. That doesn't mean you have to talk to God about the problem (He knows already) because then you will still be thinking about it too.... ask God to give you strength and then just have a conversation with Him about other stuff or whatever and that might help to get your mind off it. Also, usually when you start getting the urge you straight away feel like you're a pathetic sinner and half the time the battle is lost before its even started... so its important to remember that getting "the urge" is just the temptation and "wanting" to do it doesn't mean you've done anything wrong. I know for me, I would start feeling guilty as soon as I got the urge which just makes it easier to give in completely because you're already "guilty"... so just remember you're not guilty until you've actually done it! And also remember that God is NOT going to be angry with you because you did it. Contrary to what a lot of people think, He's on YOUR side and He just wants you to succeed. Anyway, that's worked for me before (for a little while at least)... I just have no will power though, but I hope you do better than me at trying to stop.
