I was wondering what people's thoughts are on shaving their pubes AND wondering if anyone has any tips for someone about to do it for their first time.

I shave all the time I like it better than being hairy and just do it with a razor.

I trim. I have shaved a few times and was to itchy. Just be careful using a razor.

I've never done it, but I heard when you first do it, it can be very itchy

Use cream or gel and keep the razor wet. It does get very itchy after a while so keep it moisturized with lotion or after shave. Relax and go slow to avoid cutting.

Shaving looks so much better, well that's what I personally think. If you're going to shave for the first time, trim first and remove as much hair as you can and then shave. Use plenty of shaving cream, and don't go over the area with a razor more than once or it will end up irritated, and use aftershave balm or moisturiser afterwards...

i trim cuz it doesn't itch as much. but ya even if you do shave, you should trim first so that the razor doesn't get clogged or caught up as much. first time go with the way the hair grows and then the second run go against the way the hair grows. use shaving cream and when you are done, sometimes it helps to rub tiny bit of the shaving cream into the skin. but you will probably get ingrown hairs.

I find shaving to be itchy and irritate the skin. Try using shaving cream if you are though.

I shaved for a couple of months last year. I did it basically on a dare/team initiation kind of thing, but found I liked the look and feel. But to stay smooth I had to shave like every 3 or 4 days and just got tired of the maintenance! So now I trim short. And I like it better! And its a lot easier. My older brother and I share a Norelco body shaver - very easy.
