Okay. So first, a bit about myself. I'm 15. Good in school, I read a lot, and write books. My parents are great, I am a troubled teen and have been cutting for... hm... 3 years, give or take a few months. I'm not an idiot, and have never touched my wrists in that way, except once I attempted suicide with that method. I would've died if my best friend hadn't found me and patched me up. She's been supportive through this process. I was clean for two months and relapsed yesterday. I can't say I have a hard life, but there are two reasons why I cut. 1. I love scars. Always have. Especially the ones I create myself. 2. I think blood is pretty. Yeah, fucked up. I know. Usually I take an x-acto(very sharp) and numb my skin with ice. I don't cut for the pain. I cut for the scars. Its normally designs or words. So basically, I wondered if anyone else loves their scars as much as I do.
Oh, and ps, I'm not seeking proffesional advice, or talking to my parents. I know what I'm doing, I chose this. I'm not some little emo kid trying to be mainstream.

If you like making designs and words on your body, get tattoos. They can tell stories, too.

I think I like the scars better, because they're
free. Lol. I've tried the whole butterfly thing, but I enjoyed killing the butterfly too much. I'll get tattoos when I'm old enough

I do that a lot.
Scars are more personal than tattoos, I find. And killing the butterflies gives me a kind of satisfaction (I usually do it while listening to the song "Wings of a Butterfly")
You're not the only one.

Thank god. I thought someone else had to do this. And yes, scars are way more personal. Who's the song by?

Quite obviously that's true. Wrist slitting is a painfully inaccurate way to kill yourself. I'd get a syringe, air bubble in the bloodstream, instant death.
