Hey! Do you wear tampons or pads or both? I would recommend wearing a tampon and a pad if you're worried. Honestly, if your periods are so heavy that you might still worry with both of those lines of defense, you could talk to your doctor about birth control. Most of the time, the right bc can help treat hormone problems or PMDD.

Im the same, mine are very very heavy as well. At a friends house is fine just say your going to the loo put another one on and your fine. School is a bit more tricky, I think you're just going to we to be really quick. If the teacher asks why you're late just be honest say you were in the loo, female teachers are a lot more understanding.
But yes as said above you can be put on birth control but look into side affects and stuff and go through all your options with a doctor. They do make it lighter and more regular.

It's probably because if TSS it's normal for parents at the start to not let you use tampons and especially if it's heavy. But Mayer talk to her because it makes things a lot easier

Try to talk to her. If she refuses, ask her why. If it's giving you trouble then hopefully she will bend a little.

You might not have the right absorbency if you need to change your pads frequently. If you have a good absorbency then there really shouldn't be a need to change them so often. There's nothing wrong with wearing pads. You don't need tampons if you can't have them.

kalin, I have a idea if you have a school nurse talk to her about it. At my school we have tampon in the girls room.

i find that when my period is heavy if i take a couple of ibroprofen every few hours it lightens the amount of blood and sometimes makes it a little shorter :)

You could always go in-between classes, Try to be the first one out of the class. If your teacher tells you that you can't when you guys start working independently. go up to the teacher and say "I'm on my period so may I please go" And if the teacher says no, just get up and go. I'm sure your mom would be fine with it since you are on your period.
Try Birth control, it makes it lighter, and controls your mood swings and cramps..
