Since my old laptop died and everything I had in it is now pretty much lost forever, I just realized last night a problem about my iPod Shuffle and iTunes.

I had a bunch of music files saved in my old laptop that are not in my new one (which I saved in my flash drive way back in May). Last night I went to add in music, and I found that I couldn't add any music unless I am to replace everything I already have, which I don't want to do. None of the music are in the iTunes library anymore since I had to start using a new laptop. Also, I got them all from Youtube, and some of them have been removed from there.

Is there any way to add music without everything else getting removed?

INsert the flash drive and put all of the music files on your laptop, in files that you can acess later. Then open itunes, press ctrl+o and select those files. Problem solved :)
Source: That's how I've done it for almost 2 years now.

the problem is, I added more music files over the months after last May, and now they're lost, and I'm pretty sure most of the music in my iPod aren't in the flash drive.

You will need to find a software that does it in reverse. Copytrans used to be able to copy files from the iPod onto the computer, but I think you have to pay for that. Have a look here:
