I have had depression since i was in kindergarten, and was just recently diagnosed two years ago when i was hospitalized for attempting suicide. While i was in the hospital and after i got out i was medicated and everyone made it seem like taking the meds was just going to make a world of difference. Well it didn't. So i was wondering, what do you do when medication just isn't enough?

That's the end of science. The rest lies in you, to believe you will make it through. I think that's most important when it comes to healing and recovery.

You coped with your depression before your diagnosis and will be able to cope even if the meds aren't making you feel 100% better.
Don't try to focus on feeling better, this will only worsen the problem. Instead, curl up. cry. Let yourself be sad.

Haha really? I've seen you post quite a bit too in my lingerings in the past week. We shouldn't go off topic in this thread though..

I hate medication. It never helped me. It made me feel worse a lot of the time. I don't really even believe in it. I think only you can change if you want to. You have to make the decision. Other people can raise you up, or be your downfall. But ultimately, it's you alone in the end who decides to make a change. Removing yourself from people who impact you negatively, getting into a new hobby, even getting a pet can help you be less alone. Look for a partner if you don't already have one. If you do, and you're still sad, they may not be the right one for you...Look into yourself. Find out the causes of your depression, if there is one. Look at what is working for you and what isn't. Only you really know...
