Anything Finding Nemo and before. Once you push past the 2000s, they start getting extremely horrible. In my opinion, Finding Nemo was the last amazing animated film.
I have to be a loyal little Burtonite though and say The Nightmare Before Christmas takes the cake. And then the earlier the film was made, the better it is. They got really soft it seems. You'd never see another Hunchback of Notre Dame in present Disney. :/ They've lost their touch.
What I love about the golden age of Disney films is how they can make them so kid-friendly but so adult-friendly at the same time. There's all this stuff you don't catch as a kid that you understand when you're older, it's incredibly brilliant. You can take the same film and get thousands of different life lessons, for all different age groups.
Sleeping Beauty has always been one of my favourites. Just enough fantasy but dark as well. Not as dark as Hunchback but again, not as soft as they are now. And you can't go wrong with the work of Walt Disney himself on the project. Maleficent is a badass too. Villains used to have motivation! They wanted to fucking kill the princess! That's how it's supposed to be!
Only thing I see wrong with the golden age of Disney is how they changed Cinderella. Lol. But I don't think they'd ever make an animated film geared toward children that was completely true to the original story. As awesome as it would be.

My all-time favorite is the Hunchback of Notre Dame. It was my favorite as a little kid and is my favorite now.
Mulan and Fantasia are really close runners-up though.

all those with princesses except Snow-white
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Sleeping Beauty, the music, the animation... perfect.
I must say that Disney used the music of Tchaikovsky much wiser than Marius Petipa did in his ballet.
I really like Beauty and the Beast, the songs re great.
well Cinderella isn't my favorite I must admit
Tangled is nice, Princess and the frog is great.
of course I love Lion King

As a young boy my favourite was The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh- I had it on VHS and really enjoyed; (almost as much as the feature) the extra bits where they talked to the voice artists. Although newer adaptations are horrible in comparison.
I also enjoyed The Black Cauldron. Has anybody here ever watched it?
Happy memories sitting in font of the tv on a sunday afternoon before the days of satellite tv (in my house at least)... Thanks for chance to regress.

Deffinitely Finding Nemo. The Incredibles was one of my favorites. A little goofy, but enjoyable, and possibly the most violent Disney movie yet. Nothing like getting sucked into a jet intake and then exploding.
