So I highly believe I have OCD but my parents don't believe me. I looked up OCD and other diseases that it is associated with is Kleptomania, Deppresion, andBody Dismorphic Disorder. So if you have OCD your much more likely to have all those, and I believe I do have all those. So is this a coincidence or do I have those?

I think I have OCD because:
I have to do things in a pattern, I check the stove about 4x almost every time I use it but I've found a way to lessen it, if I turn on the light switch I have to hit it hard and hit it on a part of my hand (certain party) and it has to make a sound, and lastly I believe I have it cause I tend to have a habit of dropping things. If I don't do all those I get anxiety.

I think I have BDD because:
I think I look different every time I look in the mirror usually on certain days, I'll think my head went from oval-circleish to fat and blocky. And things pertaining to my face.

I think I have Kleptomania because:
If I see something I want but can't afford I'll take it. But I'm trying to stop.

Last question. So I've been going to a supermarket for 2 years now. And I've visited it probably 2-3x a week. About 8 months ago I started stealing. It's a big supermarket the size of Albertsons or vons. I havent stolen anything major, I've
probably stolen 12+ of Jello brand instant pudding (the instant kind that you whisk and pour milk in) crest white strips (1x), goat cheese (2x) California roll sushi (fujison or whatever, I took it 2x) and gum (5x). What are the consequences here in England AND USA (for stealing those things)? What kind of quality are the security cameras in Albertsons, Vons, or Walmart? Is the quality crystal clear or does it have lag or does it look grainy?

FYI I didn't take all those things at once I did it over the course of 8 months

Normally a set of criteria probably about 9 are what is used to diagnose mental disorders different obviously for each disorder and normally u have to reach a certain number of criteria (if using the number 9 criteria then u would likely have to meet 5) u can probably find these sort of tests on line to help give yourself an idea.

Obsessive- Compulsive Disorder
SYMPTOMS
Obsessive-compulsive disorder is characterized by either obsessions or compulsions:

Obsessions as defined by:

Recurrent and persistent thoughts, impulses, or images that are experienced, at some time during the disturbance, as intrusive and inappropriate and that cause marked anxiety or distress

The thoughts, impulses, or images are not simply excessive worries about real-life problems

The person attempts to ignore or suppress such thoughts, impulses, or images, or to neutralize them with some other thought or action

The person recognizes that the obsessional thoughts, impulses, or images are a product of his or her own mind (not imposed from without as in thought insertion)
Compulsions as defined by:

Repetitive behaviors (e.g., hand washing, ordering, checking) or mental acts (e.g., praying, counting, repeating words silently) that the person feels driven to perform in response to an obsession, or according to rules that must be applied rigidly

The behaviors or mental acts are aimed at preventing or reducing distress or preventing some dreaded event or situation; however, these behaviors or mental acts either are not connected in a realistic way with what they are designed to neutralize or prevent or are clearly excessive
--- AND: ---

At some point during the course of the disorder, the adult has recognized that the obsessions or compulsions are excessive or unreasonable (not applicable to children).

The obsessions or compulsions cause marked distress, are time consuming (take more than 1 hour a day), or significantly interfere with the person's normal routine, occupational (or academic) functioning, or usual social activities or relationships.

If another disorder is present, the content of the obsessions or compulsions is not restricted to it. The disturbance is not due to the direct physiological effects of a substance (e.g., a drug of abuse, a medication) or a general medical

Jason no one here can tell you if you have it or not over VT, only a Healthcare Professional would be able to tell you if you have it or not. Some people can seem to have OCD, but not have it, its all to do with their personality. Id recommend seeing your GP who can refer you on for evaluation. All the Best :)

Get your parents to take you to the doctors, and just say to them see what the doctor say. Its better to be safe!
