Hey. How do you keep a conversation going while texting another guy? What things should we talk about? What to do if he doesn't reply but I still want to talk to him?

As said above, keep things interesting. That's the main thing to do, talk like you would to a normal person, and keep them talking. xD

Ok. Then I suggest you google "David DeAngelo + attraction" and have a look for some ideas.

It refers to straight dating techniques, but I'm sure it works with gay people as well.

Be open, be fun, try have a laugh, us guys LOVE it when a girl can make us smile just by texting us :)

Try do something silly like spell a word wrong for example "clock" misspell it purposely as cock.. talk about the time and be like "omg I looked at the cock and I thought it was way earlier!" send the message and reply really quick "OMG OMG I MEANT CLOCK HAHAH!" and it will be something the guy and you will remember for a while, every now and then when you are talking IRL or via text or IM you can just say "What's the time on your cock? Hahahaha!" and keep it fresh in the memory so it's funny for a while...

Just backing up what everyone else has said talk about hobbies, interests, make jokes, keep conversation light and interesting, dont use the phrases like lol or haha as it puts you at a dead end.
However i'd say that if he doesn't text you back right away just leave it dont seem eager or clingy cause it just gets annoying, if it happens a lot ask him about it and tell him that you want to talk to him.
