This is probably the most shocking death since MJ

I'm gonna have to agree with you... This news came from nowhere, just like MJ...

Not really, since people already knew about Whitney's drug problems. I wouldn't be surprised if she OD'd.

According to MSNBC, she died at 6:55 PM EST, which would mean she died at about 4 PM west coast time.

Amazing talent, amazing voice. Sucks to see her go so soon, but that's what happens when you do crack. :( R.I.P. Whitney.

Its not a complete surprise to me, she didn't look after herself too well but i cant say i was expecting it right now or around this time. She was an amazing singer in her time and shes definitely going to be missed.

It annoys me that celebrites get so much media attention when usually they bring it on themselves. There are so many more imprtant people out there that dont get half as much praise than they deserve.
But yeah, RIP.

I think this is such a shame, 48 is no age :/ Its apparent that having all the money in the world cant even bring you happiness.. i feel sorry for her daughter who had to watch her struggle all these years. She was a very talented woman <3

I'm only shocked that she took a dirt nap before Bobby Brown.

Other than that...how can you be shocked that a drug addict kicked it? Like someone who said Amy Winehouse's death was shocking. Really...I was only shocked that she lived as long as she did.

When I found out she died, tears came to my eyes. She was my idol. I looked up to her. I was even listening to her when I heard the sad news. Sad way to go.... Overdosing, Jennifer Hudson is doing a thing for Whitney today on the Grammies.

A lot of stars (big) have been during of drug related issues, Amy Winehouse, MJ and now Whitney.

R.I.P Whitney <333

MJ didn't die due to a drug problem. He died cuz he was stupid and trusted an idiot.

i cant help it but...

MJ didn't die due to a drug problem. He died cuz he was stupid and trusted an idiot.

Except that Jackson did have a drug problem and he didn't want to quit. MJ had addictions to painkillers and the like since 1983/84 when he met Elizabeth Taylor. I blame his addiction solely on her because she got him into the darker aspects of the world of medications. But that's for an entirely different thread.

Westboro Baptist Church will picket Whitney Houston funeral (http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/319688)

Do they even know that Whitney was a Baptist? Not that his is acceptable under any circumstance but it's pretty ironic...

What's funnier is that there are blockades set up around the funeral home to keep anybody back for over a mile.
