I just had a surgery to have a tooth removed, and fillings put in. but during surgery they had to stick a tube in my nose and down my throat so I could breath, since then my throat has been sore (its obvious why) but my chest is sore as-well. It slightly hurts my chest to sneeze. anyone know why this might be?

I'm not sure what it could be but you really should see a doctor, just to be safe.

Yeah the tube may have knocked around your throat, and is even worse if you have been intubated (Hopefully you will never be in that situation). If your chest continues to hurt or doesn't improve over a couple of days, see your doctor :)

If it isn't that bad - drink fluids and dont have heavy exersize and see how it is in a few days.

Yeah, be happy there was no intubation, why don't you try eating some popsicles, they should help numb some of the pain....

That is normal, when i had surgery a few years ago to have my wisdom teeth taken out when i woke up in the PACU (Recovery Room) i was numb but my throat was very sore but it cleared up within days.

But as for the chest being sore, that should be checked out by a doctor if it does not clear up.

Youre just sore from the surgery, youll feel it for a couple of days.

ok, my chest no longer feels like theres sandpaper in it and it no longer hurts. :yeah: throat is still sore when its dry but thats what you get for having a tube stuck down your throat.
