So my male friend, and my female bestfriend, want to stay over mine soon. They live a long way away, and its hell getting to see them, so we wanted them to stay at mine so we could spend two days together.

But im a girl, and my mums not happy about a boy, who is not my boyfriend, just a friend, staying over, even with my female bestfriend who she has known for years!

I dont think this is fair. She let my brother have his girlfriend sleep over when they were 15. But she wont let me have a male friend, and my bestfriend stay over when were all 14? Surely thats unfair, right?

I understand why she worries, but I have assured her nothing bad will happen and she can check on us, and we will stay downstairs if she wants. But she wont them stay.

Even though she let my brothers girlfriend stay over, and at an age, things that shes worried about are more likely to happen.

Am I the only person who thinks this is unfair? And how can I get her to even consider changing her mind?

Honestly, I'm 18 and it was hell getting my parents to let a *lesbian* sleep over at my house during a hurricane. I mean, I can see where your mom is coming from and to be honest, parents are a lot more protective of their "Little girl" than their son.

You know the way the son is treated by a father if he goes on a date with a girl "Good job son, you make me proud" but if a girl goes on a date the father automatically wants to kill/hunt down the boy :P

The best way you could is to make a persuasive essay and hand it to her.

But what would I put in the essay?

Your reasoning for why they should allow him to sleep over.
