So what would you do?

My mom got a job in California, where my brother, sistr all my cousins, aunts, and uncles are. Pretty much my entire family, who I love to be around, and who I want to grow up with and see their kids and everything. I really love being around family.

But I got accepted to a really good college in Michigan, where I am now. I want to be a doctor, and its a great college with a high acceptance rate to med school. Its pretty much my dream college. However, its all the way across the country.

And if I go to California, I have to go to a community college, because out of state tuition, so that won't be great for med school

What would you choose?

Keep in mind, after college I go to med school for 4 years, at any possible mer school in the country, then 5 year residency at any program in the country, not necessarily my choice.

College. I can understand the love you have for your family, but there comes a time when you have to take your life into your own hands. In ten years, when you have a nediocre job, are you going to think, "thank god I stayed sith my parents! If I hadn't done that I might be getting paid something reasonable and doing what I'm passionate about!"
I'm exaggerating, but this is a decision that will affect you for life, and I honestly would choose college over my family, but I don't like mine so I guess I'm unreliable..

College, you need to do this for yourself.
You can still love your family but in 5 years time im sure you would be regreting the decision to choose family over college. This will be setting you up for the rest of your life and im sure if you are close your family will be supporting you with whatever you decide. This is what you love and you should take the chance while you can. :)

College. You do more for your family by getting a good job.

I'm really starting to lean for college, but what if me being gone for so long introduces me to a new family you know? People I don't want to leave? What happens to my family? Is it worth that risk? I don't know. Such a hard decision!
