I'm getting a shot tomorrow, and to get it, I have to wear a short sleeve shirt.. I don't want my doctor noticing them.. So. Is their anything I could do to make it less noticeable? Or even hide it somehow. It's my last appointment with him, since I'm switching to a female doctor on Monday. For another shot..
Is their any medication I could put on it to make it less visible than it actually is?

no medication i know of, not like saying there isn't but i don't know of any but i don't really have much expertise in this field, but i'm pretty sure you can just use some cover up make up and stuff like that. i doubt it would effect the shot and it makes them less noticable if not hidden depending on how bad they are. just don't let him have too much contact with where the marks are.

If the shots in the top of your arm (which they usually are) just wear a jacket/shirt style top so you can put the top down instead of pulling sleeves up. If you have marks/scars there you will either have to use make-up or just don't mention it. Doctors aren't freaked out by much.
If you really have to wear a short sleeved shirt you could always try wearing a bandage and saying you hurt your arm somehow.
Hope this helps at all.

It depends where you're getting the shot and where your cuts are. If you're getting the shot at the top of your arm below your shoulder, then a jacket or cardigen that you can just pull down would be a good idea.
If you can't hide them, you don't have to tell the doctor if you don't want to. I've had a doctor ask about scars before (because he was too lazy to see self harm in my records) and I just said that it didn't matter quite forcefully, and he didn't say anything else about it.
If they notice, the best thing to do would be to say that you did do them, but that you don't want to talk about it. They won't force you to.

I know when I got blood work a few weeks ago, I used my arm with the least amount of cuts, or the ones that looked oldest/that would cover up easier. (even though it was my dominant arm). I dunno if you use both arms or what, but just an idea. :P
