How to ask him out

How do I ask the guy I like out? I know how to talk to him and approach him but I get nervous when I'm about to ask him the big question. And I also have low self esteem and am worried what people would think of me for asking or dating him, alot of people think he's weird but he's really a sweet guy. What do I do and how do I ask him out? Please help me.

Honestly this sounds odd but text him and ask him to not tell anybody but ask him out, if hes a understanding guy. Some people like my bro dont

If you're shy you can do it over a text message, but don't worry. The worst thing that could happen is that he says no. If you really like him a lot other people's opinions of the relationship won't matter.
