I wish to remove my account. I have read the FAQ but I truly need it to be gone. my parents wish for all accounts to be removed.

If I had a nickle for every time I saw one of these... I might have a dollar.

Yeah, you can't, if you feel the need edit your posts out to say "deleted", remove you info or change it to "deleted," delete your blogs, remove any albums. You only have 35 posts so really it wouldn't be overly difficult.

That pretty much sums up what I was going to say

I don't see why an administrator couldn't just delete it.
It's hardly going to put a dent in your member count, is it?

You could ask an administrator or global moderator if they're willing to delete all your posts. This happened to me once, a friend from my school saw a lot of my posts on puberty and stuff. So I asked and thankfully Infidelitas (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/member.php?u=30730) (who was a Puberty Mod at the time) deleted all my posts. Wasn't that nice of him? Anyways, I think you probably can get it deleted, but not for that reason. It would have to be a serious reason, like someone finding out and hunting you down for being gay or something. If you don't want to come back then do what was said above and change your password to something you will never remember. Like write "asdof[hasoidfhoweadfsaiudsfhadsfljhdlfjh" into notepad and paste it into the password and confirm password boxes. Then log out.

That's really not the problem, lol. I don't think anyone gives two shits about the member count. The problem is it would look weird. Having no account but posts, etc.

If this is a problem, you can edit your posts, so that anything you say, no one can see, and then change your password and don't log in again. That's really your best option.

The main concern is that if people have quoted your posts, it makes it confusing for others if there is a quote but no post to correspond to it. On the overall scheme of things, no one can trace your account back to you (only staff can see IPs), so if you log out and never return, that will be easier in the long run for the community.

Anyway, thats my 5 cents worth.

It would create holes in threads, and possibly ruin them completely.

if there is any sensitive info in one of your posts you want gone, report it and it will be deleted. Otherwise log out and dont' come back

But I have seen a few post that have like guest or annomus or something like that, where you cant click on there name or anything.

Anyway I can see how this would look bad for the forums apperance
