A new game played in at least one Minnesota schoolyard is upsetting parents and teachers with its "disgusting" premise. "Rape tag" is just like freeze tag, with one alarming difference: Participants need to be humped to be unfrozen.

It's only news-worthy if you get caught.

Society is changing, kids are becoming aware of certain things at an earlier age. It's not a bad thing either.

BREAKING NEWS: Some children act immaturely
PARENTS: "Humping" "disgusting"

Gaybaby94
February 7th, 2012, 06:37 PM
I think it's wrong, but the parents are the hypocrites here for saying its disgusting. It is not disgusting, it's a fact of life that they will soon realize if not already, but it is wrong.

Disgusting =/= Wrong

If there not actually being raped, then let kids be kids. The only reason that parents are having a fit is because the the stick up there asses has a stick up its ass.

and for people that disagree with me, is "rap tag" childish, yes, are the children children. yes. so whats the problem?

And that it's technically not rape. How 'bout just "Hump Tag?"

While the children don't understand yet, they should be taught that the action isn't appropriate to do in public... if that makes sense.

These are both good arguments.

Kids see these cultural tabboos and don't understand why they're there, so they break them. It's not a big deal. I did it, my friends did it, the bullies and the weaklings did it. It's a part of growing up and coming to terms with cultural limitations.

I mean, it's just something that's going to happen regardless of what people do or think. I know that most kids do and have played "games" like that. Its just a part of childhood i guess.

C'mon I know you've all played a little naked doctor in your younger years

I find it kind of funny parents say it's disgusting when they produced the kids doing it.

Anyways...it sounds fun to me. O.o

^And this.

It's the same stuff, just a new game. Kids explore and have fun. But information is becoming more and more available, and so kids see it and find ways to turn it into a game with their friends.

I dont see the problem really. Not like they were giving eachother hand jobs and blow jobs on the playground. They were just being kids.

I don't really see a problem with it either, but it shouldn't be occurring at school. You're entering some seriously dangerous legal territory when you allow kids to hump each other during recess.

There's kids that actually have sex, this is just a silly game. Fucking conservative parents need to chill out.

Am I really the only member here that realizes that children being hypersexual in primary school is generally a sign of sexual abuse, and this behavour should be concerning both parents and schoolteachers?
This is NOT okay, and it is NOT FUNNY, and to any child who's forced into this game it IS sexual abuse.
You people brushing it off as "just a game" are why there are so many fucking people on this god damn forum.

I'm pretty sure that I was never sexually abused in any way shape or form, and I personally know many people who played games like this - which I participated in as well. As for everyone else, I don't know if they we're victim to sexual abuse, but they seem to stand on the same ground that I do.

I, and virtually everyone else, see it as a game. I don't think it's anything more than that. It's kids being curious, quirky, weird kids who mimic things that they see in the media.

So I see it as a game, I'm the reason that there are people signing up here coming for advice? I'm the reason people come here looking for help? I really don't think so. You've been a member for a long time and I thought you of all people would be the last to come out with some rash statement. The reason there are so many people on this forum is because they need legitimate help - not because people see kids humping each other on the playground as a game. Thats ridiculous.

Along with what Mike said, though sexual activity is indeed one of the flags of sexual abuse, it is far from the only thing, for example Helpguide says: (http://helpguide.org/mental/child_abuse_physical_emotional_sexual_neglect.htm#warning)
Warning signs of sexual abuse in children

Trouble walking or sitting.
Displays knowledge or interest in sexual acts inappropriate to his or her age, or even seductive behavior.
Makes strong efforts to avoid a specific person, without an obvious reason.
Doesn’t want to change clothes in front of others or participate in physical activities.
An STD or pregnancy, especially under the age of 14.
Runs away from home.

This (http://www.sandf.org/articles/Signs.asp) article is another one with a long list of signs that a child is being sexually abused.

There is a high prevalence of sexual horseplay in primary school, and not every child involved is abused. It sounds like you think every child that displays sexual behavior has been abused. This is far from the truth. Relationships and kissing start as early as 5th grade, if not earlier, here. It's natural exploration. It's when it goes beyond the bounds of exploration and into the realm of explicit knowledge, beyond what you would expect a child of that age to know, that you should really be worried. Another thing that should worry you would be consistent sexual exploration with a huge number of people.
