Ok first off, if this is in the wrong section i apologize, i couldn't figure out where to put it. Secondly this is a piece of advice for those of you who are trying sex for the first (or first couple) of times. It is no a technique or anything like that so i think it should be within the rules of the forum.

And now onto the piece of advice, its a very simple piece of advice that males should adhere to very much, and that is - Use the right size of condom.
There is nothing worse than using a condom that's too small and constricts the penis, or a condom thats too large and comes off during sex without either partner even noticing.

If in doubt about what size of condom you should be using, simply buy one of each size and try them on at home yourself, or with your partner if your comfortable with that. If the condom slides on too easily then its probably too big, if you take it off and find a red ring near the base of the penis then the condom was probably too tight.

I hope this piece of advice helps some of you out there, i know i could have used someone to tell me it a few months ago :)

I've never bought condoms but if the companies selling them were smart, they would put a little graph on the back of the pack saying:

Small size: 2-4 inches

Medium Size: 4-7 inches

Large Size: 8-12 inches

Those are just guesses on size but something like that.

That's hilarious. You are the first person to make me genuinely smile in the past few days.

That's good advice though, guys pay attention.

You couldn't really do that though, because the size of condoms don't really go by length all condoms are pretty darn stretchy, condoms work more on the girth of the penis ... sure i spose you could put a girth graph on the condoms lol.

That's true. Medium sized condoms fit 3 quarters of my penis but are too tight. Large ones fit a little more than 3 quarters but aren't as tight, so as a rule of thumb, I always buy large condoms. Thanks for the info Scotland.

Yeah i go for the larger ones as well, need to be careful though because if you go straight for the large ones they might slip off without realizing, always best to buy one of each size and try them all :)

Tried all sizes and large ribbed condoms fit me perfectly, length wise and girth wise... Also can I add that if you're going to buy condoms for intercourse don't buy flavoured ones.. they tend to break much easier.

Only time I've ever used one is for initial penetration.. put on a strawberry one and went in my GF at the time (only very slow penetration just to get her a little wet) and I got her all flavoured up then I pulled out, took off the condom and gave her oral (because of the strawberry taste). Never used a condom when I have received oral (flavoured or non flavoured)...

You really should thank him. Not think that you thank him... alot of guys buy and use the wrong sized condoms.. wrong size condoms can cause discomfort, can slip off during intercourse or can even break easier!

Durex sell many different sizes of condoms in the UK, there's Trim fit (small), Regular (normal size) And extra large (larger.. obviously) im not sure how many other sizes there are, the durex website may be a good place to look.

If this doesn't get back on topic I'm going to lock this.

please don't lock it, i'd like to help those in need with genuine questions, my apologies for being sidetracked
