Okay, so I'm a junior in high school. I have a 2.1 gpa because of a lot of slip ups and missing school.

Recently I realized I need a long term goal to help me with the issues I'm having, and after a lot of thinking I decided that a career I would be most happy with is a vet. It's something I wanted to be for a while, I have a passion for animals, science has always interested me, and I'm good at math.

What kind of schools would I have to go to? Do my grades need to be excellent? Do I have to go to med school? What courses should I take senior year?

I DID google, I couldn't find much information.

Well, you will have to step up the GPA

I have a passion for animals, science has always interested me, and I'm good at math.

And the only reason I say this is because my sister was the same way, YOU DO realize YOU ARE the one responsible for putting the animals down, right?

Well, it depends on where you live, here where I live you need to be accepted into college and be a part of the Pre-Vetinary course, you should take sciences in high school, more specifically biology and anatomy....AND YES, your grades need to be good, I am talking a 3.5 GPA or higher, I made it into my Pre-Med program to become a Physician and the minimum GPA requirement was a 3.8....and no, no medical school, you will go to a Veterinary Medical School....

I do realize that about putting them down, it's one of the cons but the pros outweigh it.

And thank you for the link and advice :)

I'd think of it like, putting them down would be better than living a life of pain
