View Full Version : Universe, how it'll end!

I know I'm a new member, but still take this question seriously...
By physical law, the universe is bound to exist forever and expand at an infintely large amount. This bring up the chaos era... In about 2,700,000,000 more years, every sun would've gone out in a huge nova/super nova (including stars) while every planet would be desicrated and have now existing life. Once again, by the law of physics, most of the remaining objects would eventually be thrown into black holes which will colide with other blacks holes, making huge Kerr black holes (a black hole that seemingly rotates in every direction possible at every moment faster than light.)
There would be many Kerr black holes and normal black holes in general in the era of chaos, and dark energy (anti-energy) will pull the black holes further away and they will never meet up! We know that dark energy does exist because if it didn't, the universe's gravity would've already started the expansion to collapse in on itself, thus meaning dark energy MUST exist (79% of the universe is dark enery, 11% is energy, 9% is dark matter, and only 1% of the universe as we know it is actual matter!) Now heres the dilima... There are several theories to what will then happen.
1. The universe will NOT always exist... The Omega Point (the combination of all black holes and ending of the universe's matter and energy) will happen, opening a new universe to a whole new big bang.
2. The universe will indeed live on, further than the chaos era, into nothingness where only heaven and hell will be apparent.
3. We won't even make it to the chaos era! Exotic matter will create a singularity outside of an event horizon and all logic will be distorted as the universe curves infinitely to doom.
4. More.... but to little space do continue!
What do u all think will happen? :?

no one knows how to debate on fucking chaos theory. maybe for a college staff it's good. but not for a bunch of teens. :?

If you have no opinion, don't post.
Personally, I am fairly new to the chaos theory, so I have to say undecided.

Well, from what I understand we know the universe is expanding by using telescopes and seeing the crest of the wave from the big bang, there was a theory that things expand to a certain extent, then they start pulling back in, until we are back at square one and we get a new big ban. But the theory that I understand as being the "new" generally accepted theory is that universe will continue to expand to a universe where single molecules are light years apart, where the black void of space envelopes everything. Now if that's not depressing...

I understand that. Scary thought huh?

yea. that's definetly gonna suck for our next generation. that's really scary to think everything will be sucked up.

well, first off, black holes will least likely end it all, because it is believed that all the solar systems revolve around 1 giant black hole and also if the universe gets larger it will implode on itself, creating an opposite big basng. and if you figure that because the center of the universe is a black hole, why isnt the universe shrinking? well i believe in the theory that there are multiple dimenshions and that means multiple universes, now i believe that the black hole is not the entry of the light but the exit, we are conected to another universe via the black hole, and that would mean that there was no big bang but a rift in the universe was created and was spread over millions of years, making many many universes, so also in my theory that would mean that if you go through a black hole you would enter another universe, but then the implode will not occur, but the hole we revolve around would runnout of light it is taking and reverse its self, so we are not in the need to worry, we will go throuhg one hole and out the other....*cough*, so if you feel differently let me know. this is my theory, the inverse theory (the name i gave it :) )

"Since the universe is expanding faster and faster in all directions, (which doesn't allow the big bang theory to hold water, even though everything originated from a specific point)"
Things starting from one spot, and then expanding outward.
Wait, isn't that what the big bang theory is?

an asteriod the size of venus is heading towards earth...wont hit here for another few million years though. If that doesnt wipe out earth, the sun is going to explode from humans trying to get rid of radioactive waste that actulay explodes in the sun causing it to send radiation everywhere.

It's scary when u think about it. The universe is infinite.... So it never ends. But, most humans think everything has an end so that's hard to believe. And what eexisted before the universed? And how did the universe get the material to form? And were did that material come from? And how did the place where they came from form? Scientists will never be able to explain that. That's why it's just easier to say God did it..

The Big Bang Theory, currently accepted as the explanation for the beginning of the universe proposes that the universe was once extremely compact, hot, and dense. Some original event, a cosmic explosion called the big bang, occurred somewhere around 13.7 billion years ago, and the universe has been expanding and cooling ever since.

I think the sun will run out of its main energy fuel: hydrogen. It would then find some other element to burn and turn into a red giant star as a result. The star phase that the sun is in right now is the young star phase, or probably called the yellow star phase (young star). When it runs out of fuel it turns into a red giant (older star) as I said before. When the sun does that, it gets so big that it swallos up other planets like mercury, mars, earth, and eventually venus and the other planets. Once it does that it gets so big it has a star explostion, in which the red giant looses all power and fuel and the center caves in on itself, becoming either a dead dwarf star which develops into a dead star or becoming a nebula, which can create other stars or galaxies.

yeah if the sun doesnt explode then I believe that our galaxy will expand so far into space that it might collide with another galaxy.

Actually every now and then they do. But not in the way you think, it's not like a car crash where theres a boom and everythings gone. For the most part they pass right through each other. There is collisions but not on a massive scale, it's just the odd solar system that get swallowed by a black hole kinda thing. I know allot about space.....Space is cool. Think about it the same basic chemicals that make us also abundant in galaxys. Sure we don't have antimater or dark matter but give us a few millenia.

Ok I have this strange idea about the universe. First we start at atoms. Each one is like a universe that has millions and millions of living things. We just can't see them yet. If you are that small you can't see the big picture.
Next I think we are bactria living on a electron spin round and round on a electron. We can't see shit.
Thats my theroy the size of the universe is dependent on the what tiny creates can see.

i dont believe in god. i would if it wasnt for the fact that three religions (christianity, jewish, muslim) were basicaly the same but insist that the other is for satan worshipers and will be deamed damned. also that through out history religions have changed many many times. and i also dont believe christ was the son of god. if he was shouldnt there have been writings about his life during his life-time not 100 years later? but i already posted how i feel the universe will end.

God is just a bedtime story gone wrong. the universe will expand forever the way i see it. i think that gravity gives it the power to keep going. i think that the universe is spinning with such force that it cant stay in one spot it will expand and as it gains more mass it will cause the universe to spin faster and faster as it gains more and more.

Surely if we believe that nothing lasts forever our universe won't either. I think it must end at some point. I just think that the explosion of the Big Bang was so powerful it still drives the dust and that into the air today. Once it stops then I don't know what will happen. Maybe the Universe will be eternal but parts of it will die. People doing a Degree in Physics will probably know more! Interesting though.

The sun will engulf mecury, venus and us as it becomes a red dwarf then it its gravity will take over and it will shrink die and become a black dwarf and the solar system will be all destroyed, then it will start over again in millions of years time from then

i havent talked about this topic for a while. but now i know what to do. i will not look into the futer. if the world ends in a year, then it does. if it happens in 500000 years, then that happens...i dont care anymore. if i can change what happens, then i will. but if i cant, why worry about it?

THE EARTH WILL DIE YES ITS ALIVE. BECAUSE THE PEOPLE HUMANS I MEAN ARE KILLING IT/HER BREAKING DOWN THE OZONE LAYER CAUSING GLOBAL WARMING CUTTING DOWN THE TREES IN THE FORESTS AND JUNGLES. CAUSING POLLUTION. THE EARTH WONT LAST FOR LONG. EVENTUALLY SHE WILL DIE. AND BECOME A BROKEN BARREN PLANET. WHICH EVENTUALLY WILL GET HIT BY A COMET. AND INSTEAD OF EVERYTHING ON THE PLANET BURNING UP BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING THERE ANYMORE. IT WILL JUST EXPLODE TAKING OUT THE MOON WITH IT. THE BALLANCE OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM WILL BECOME DAMAGED. AND ONE BY ONE THE PLANETS WILL SWING OUT OF POSITION. CAUSING THE UNIVERSE TO CEASE TO EXIST AS WE KNOW IT. LIKE DOMINOES ONE DROPS THEY ALL FALL EVENTUALLY.

a SOLAR system NOT a galaxey and I highly dout even that would happen just earth and its moon. But chances are when humanity becomes extinct our planet won't go with us.
The universe will keep expanding like it is now untill it reaches a point where gravity begins to pull everything back in esentally collapsing under its own weight this will happen till everything gets so close together that another big bang happens forcing the matter and anti-matter back out.

I read somewhere that some scientist came up with some theory. I guess the universe is slowly pulling its self apart. And in like a billion years or something, everything will be pulling apart so fast, that we wont be able to see any other galaxies. Then all of the planets will start pulling away from the sun, and like 30 min after that, everything will start to desintagrate in a great mass of burning matter. Then when the temp gets hot enough, the earth will explode. I think they are calling it the Big Rip. Just a theory tho./

well nobody knows how it will end, theres one very odd thing though, the big bang, its an explosion, but instead of slowing, its speeding up, weird O_o!!!!
the end of the galaxy will be in a collision with another, which scientists have alreadypredicted, we are traveling along with other galaxies into a place where they will crash into each other.
