Hair dye?

I'm trying to get my parents to let me bleach my hair and dye it electric blue or turquoise. I've already dyed my bangs so it shouldnt be a problem but they really dont like the idea xD Have any of you guys dyed all of your hair a bright color like that and how did your parents feel, or if you haven't dyed your hair, what do you think of people that have? And if anyone knows a brand with bright colors that don't fade as quickly, please share :D

My dad doesnt approve, but he got over it. Mum laughed at me but then said she loves it :D

Haha, my mom is fine with the color but she says bleach is too damaging and my hair will grow out weird. My dad hates pretty much everything I do so he will take a lot more convincing xD
I haven't heard of that brand, I'll look it up :D

Yeah its good, they sell it online :)

And bleaching really does ruin the condition of it for a while, but it depends if you think its worth it... mine definately was! :D

Makes sense, but couldn't you still dye the tips or something like that?

Oh, and as it turns out lagoon blue is the color I've been admiring since I got this idea so thanks a ton for telling me about that brand, Fran :D

I've never really dyed my hair an extreme colour, the most extreme was dip dying my red hair black.
I never really got permission as such, my dads opinion is irrelevant, and it took a while for me to convince my mum about the red. But I started relatively dark and did it gradually. She didn't really care about the black. And as for bleaching are your parents aware of how damaging bleach is to your hair? if not maybe just don't enlighten them..

As for dyes for bright colours, the dye Fran suggested is semi permanent is this what you wanted?
I've only ever dyed my hair permanently, for that I've found schwarzkopf to be pretty good it doesn't seem to fade too quickly.

My mom actually thinks bleach is a lot worse than it really is xD. My dad doesn't really know so I'm not going to mention it to him if I can help it./ :rolleyes: Yes, I have to get semi-permanent, I'm not allowed to do it permanently, which doesn't make sense because bleach is permanent anyway. C:

I'd never dye my hair a bright colour because I don't think it looks good. Although I'd definitely dye it blonde. <3

I really want to dye my hair tourquise/teal, but im not allowed to, not even dip dye.
lol, once i even bought some tourquise hair dye with one of my friends, and we were going to dye our hair, (only some streaks for her and dip dye for me) but i found out that im allergic D: So, i cant even do it at my friend's house, without my mom agreeing.

I have not had a problem with my mom letting me dye my hair ... dye isn't perm. and it will fade.. its just hair its not like you are going out and getting a tattoo lol
