I used to have some serious problems with pyromania, but I got some therapy and it went away. However, it's come back today, and I've been reduced to throwing tissues into the gas fire in my house. Anyone got any idea on what I can do for it?

Well think back when it went away. What things did you do different that caused it to go away? Something like this requires psychological treatment so maybe you should go back to therapy.
