well you see i think i really like this girl shes in my class and her name is candes :) sooo now im wanderin g since its valentines day and such should i say or do something for her> she just moved to my school.... and story of my life shes afrikaans and ofcourse i havnt a clue to the languauge any advice?????? maybe i should learn the language then talk to her :)?????

Sebastian, does she speak English? If she doesn't, you could offer to help her learn English if she teaches you Afrikaans. You could learn a phrase in Afrikaans (google translate has a feature where it says the sentence out) asking her to help you learn and you would teach her. That's what I would do if I was in your place...

Honestly, if she has a sense of humor, go for the Afrikaans. If you're self-conscious though, steer clear of it. Nine times out of ten, in that situation a girl will giggle at your pronunciation and effort, and most guys aren't fond of being laughed at. Maybe just ask her out in English, or ask her to teach you some Afrikaans :)
