First of all, my left ear has been blocked for nearly four months. I don't notice the fullness anymore, but I can usually hear blood rushing and my hearing in it is really bad, it's definitely still blocked. I'm not really sure this has to do with my more recent problem, but it might.

Recently I've been experiencing thumping in my ear. It doesn't happen often, but when it does it's just one "thump" and that's it. I'm not 100% sure but I think I experienced this(for the last time anyway) in my right ear. It may have happened in both though, I'm not too sure. Anyway, this morning I was sitting an exam and suddenly I head just felt really light. The thing I noticed most though was that my head went really quiet, like I had gone deaf. I suppose it kind of felt as if I had gone up in altitude but my ears never popped. Basically I think it was something to do with the pressure in my ears or head or something. It happened really suddenly, and it has happened twice or three times in the past few days.

This never happened to me before and it's all happening at once now, I just want to be sure.
Thanks

Yeah mate, I can't think of much that you could do to stop this, I think the best thing would be to see your GP. They can refer you on to a ENT Doc if they think you need it.

Get it checked out. I can't remember what it means when you can hear that thumping in your ears, but I used to have that same thing before (minus the hearing problems)
