Bushy eyebrows and shaving my head

I'll have to shave my head this summer for drum corps, as part of a tradition. The issue is.... I've never shaved my head. The closest I come is getting it cut to right above my eyebrows, maybe 1/2" at most.

The issue is... I have ridiculously thick eyebrows, and they suck. When I shave my head... yeah, you can imagine what that'll look like. Looking at the picture below (sorry for it being sideways) any suggestions on what I should do to make me look less like a wookie? Wax, pluck, go to a salon...? I can't say I've done this before, but they've been bugging me for ages, and I don't want to deal with that all summer.

If you are really that insecure about them then i think you have the right ideas. Go to a salon and get them done, i'd say pluck or get them threaded as waxing hurts a bit. If you get them done professionally the first time then you can just maintain them at home after that. I wouldnt suggest doing them yourself though as it could go terribly wrong and make everything worse for you.
To be honest if you dont get them done you might find that it looks a bit weird to start with (every hair cut does) but im sure you and everyone else will get used to it and after a few weeks people wouldnt even notice, you just have to give it time and eventually it will have gone away. :)
