No, there is nothing wrong with being bisexual. I am bisexual myself, and if there is anything wrong with me, it has nothing to do with my sexual orientation :D Being bisexual is a normal, natural thing. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Will people hate you? Some people are bigoted and look down upon bisexuality for whatever reason. You can't please everyone, do not try to. They aren't worth your time.
You won't be alone forever! Take your time coming out to your family and friends, do things on your terms and don't feel rushed.
If you don't know his orientation, perhaps tread lightly telling him about your feelings. Trying to cheer him up and help him in whatever way you can is the best thing to do right now.

There's nothing wrong with feeling the way you do :) I'm sure you could make a very competent psychiatrist if you put your mind to it, regardless of your orientation.
My name is a tad personal, but I will say that I am sixteen years old :)

Well... being bisexual is perfectly normal, however, some ignorant people may not see it that way. If you want to tell your family, go ahead, unless your family's prejudice is great enough that telling them might cause mental or physical harm. As for your friend, get to know the kid, I'm sure if he's depressed then he needs a friend, not an admire.

There't not a thing wrong with being bisexual. It's common for teenagers to experience all this frustration and confusion, hell LOTS, and I mean LOTS of grown adult males hide their real sexual feelings. People are just morons to hate on you for who you are as a human being. If they have issues with you, you just got to stride along.
On the other page, if you don't wanna tell people you're bi, that's fine. I haven't really told anyone that I am bisexual besides people I have a thing for. So if you know that this other guy is bi/gay as well, might as well tell him! It can bond you two together and maybe more. Just keep yourself proud of yourself and who you are. This world is full of ignorant pricks.
