I liked Fallout 3 better than vegas personally. Both are such amazing games, but still, I have always just felt that fallout 3 was more fun to play.

I prefer New Vegas to 3 because the storyline in 3 just gets abit... i dunno it just doesnt seem to flow aswell, i admit New Vegas is abit stupid with all the different groups and clans gets annoying i just prefer it.

Im glad you made this thread because I've completely forgotten about fallout. I got New Vegas and I though it was awesome. Bear in mind that it was also my first in the series, so I can't really comment on comparisons and whatnot. So I guess it'll be good to get 3 and see whats what.

I like both.

Fallout 3 has the better world to explore and better location.
New Vegas has the better story arc, NPCs, and quests.

Both soundtracks kick ass though.

I've never played New Vegas.

However, I can say I loved Fallout 3. Played through it two and a half times now.

I plan on getting New Vegas when they release the Platinum, or whatever edition they're calling it, for Xbox.

I'm gonna go with 3. New Vegas was much much shorter, the world wasn't as well placed and fun to explore, and surprisingly was glitchier than 3. Although the quests were better in Vegas, I mainly just explore. :-)

Since I played New Vegas in fucking German, I couldn't understand the story in the beggining but once I started working for Mr.House I started to catch up and I must say the story was super good.

Though, I don't know, I had much more fun playing F3.

Let's just add weapon attachments, aiming down sights and the New Vegas Story to the Capital Wasteland and we'll be fine.

I liked Fallout 3 alot more then New Vegas. Fallout 3 has more of an apocalyptic wasteland feel.

New Vegas by far....

The reason why I say this is because, it had much better storyline and quests...

You got to pick of 3 sides, Good Bad Independant (i did independant it rules)

Much more control over the perks and things like speech were much easier to get across because 90% meant that you would be guarented to win the speach.

You could hide yourself whitch was pretty good.

Overall It was much smoother, I did not play it at first I must add as I got it late after all the patches came out so I cant say anything there but I prefered fall out nv to FO3.

FO3 Just got really boring and the storyline sucked, it was a nice touch to continue the game with DLC however I do hate the ammount of crap the storyline was.

New Vegas is easily the better storyline, however Fallout 3 to me was just a much better game overall. The glitchiness was so bad in NV, it didnt expand much feature wise from 3, and the world, which to me is the most important aspect of a free roam type game, was just way better. That said, Skyrim>Both
